This role is based at our Cape Town Office - Airport City
Education
- Matric
- 1-year freight forwarding related qualification at NQF level 3 and 4
Knowledge and experience
3 – 5 years import experience in the Clearing and Forwarding Industry in a clerical capacity
INCO Terms
Commercial, transport, carrier & depot and statutory body documents & stamps
Product specific freight handling & movement requirements
Basic international trade principles
Applicable sections of Import & Export control Act
Containerisation practice
Geography
Functional business objectives and strategies
Company service charge
Rate structure
Carrier & depot conditions of trade
Tariff calculation concepts
National currencies and international codes
Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel and Lotus)

Overall responsibilities include
- Plan the freight movement of imported cargo
- Coordinate freight movement and customs clearance of import cargo
- Administration of shipment file
- Process insurance claims
- Effect creditors disbursements and process debtors invoices
- Co-ordinate the customs clearance of bond store cargo
